Michael Powell

Michael lives and works in Cardiff (Wales, UK), and he is a professional artist and interior designer. His works became cross-stitch patterns quite by accident. At one of the art exhibitions where he was showcasing his works, a visitor told him that his style would look great on canvas, and some time later, she “translated” one of his drawings into a pattern. This is how the famous crooked houses appeared in the world of cross-stitching.

The artist travels a lot and creates series dedicated to the countries that have inspired him: France, Italy, Spain… The most extensive range of designs is dedicated to his beloved Venice. Michael believes that this is the best place on earth and spends a lot of time in this city.

Michael’s patterns are bright and positive, making them enjoyable to stitch. The brand’s kits include canvas or evenweave fabric from Zweigart, Anchor threads, a detailed pattern, and are suitable for everyone, from the most experienced to beginners.

Michael is a multiple-time recipient of the Designer of the Year award in the UK.
